Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) and Ethiopian Defense University (EDU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) expected to serve as a foundation for cooperation.
Prof. Afework Kassu Director General of AHRI and B/General Kebede Regassa commandant of EDU signed the MOU on June 6,2024.
The AHRI Director General said major innovations in the history of medical research in the world have come from defense research institutions. He also added that the two institutions will identify potential areas of collaboration and work for national growth and development.
Following the signing of the MOU a technical committee composed of the two national institutions will design a detailed education and research framework to make the collaboration effective by exchanging human resources, students, as well as education and research information.
